Bengaluru Cab Manager Confesses Killing Two Young Daughters, Breaks Down During Police Reconstruction

SG Imran, who manages a local cab company, confessed to strangling his daughters, Shaik Zoya, 10, and Shaik Zehara, 5, in a hotel room near Kempegowda International Airport on August 10. He claimed the murders stemmed from anxiety over their upbringing after his marriage deteriorated following his wife's new job and discovered WhatsApp chats with a male colleague. After the killings, Imran tried to end his own life by slitting his throat, was treated at a private hospital, and recovered in roughly two weeks.
During a police reconstruction, he broke down, weeping uncontrollably for nearly twenty minutes, which officers allowed to continue. A suicide note found at the scene detailed the marital discord and custody issues. He is now held in Bengaluru Central Prison.
