Bengaluru cab manager kills two daughters at airport hotel, attempts suicide
A 40-year-old cab manager in Bengaluru strangled his five- and 10-year-old daughters at a five-star hotel near the airport and then tried to end his own life.
On Monday, Bengaluru police discovered a tragic scene inside a luxury hotel close to Kempegowda International Airport. SG Imran, a 40-year-old manager of a private cab company, had arrived the previous evening and claimed he was awaiting a guest from Dubai. When hotel staff entered the room later, they found his two minor daughters, Sheik Zehara, five, and Sheik Zoya, ten, dead from strangulation, and Imran unconscious with a slit throat.
Emergency services rushed all three to a nearby private hospital, where the girls were pronounced dead on arrival and Imran is receiving medical care. Investigators recovered a handwritten note in which Imran expressed despair over his wife's extra-marital affair and said he was taking his daughters with him. Deputy Commissioner of Police Mithun Kumar GK confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
