Bengaluru woman arrested for killing husband and son, alleged lover also detained
Police in Bengaluru have arrested 26-year-old Harini for allegedly murdering her husband and their four-year-old son, with her alleged partner Vinay also taken into custody.
In northwest Bengaluru, police arrested 26-year-old Harini after she reported her husband Abhinandan, 35, and their four-year-old son Yaduveer dead at their residence. Investigators allege Harini colluded with her alleged lover Vinay to kill Abhinandan and then strangled Yaduveer, fearing the child had seen the murder. Forensic clues such as blood-stained garments, a disabled CCTV system after 10 pm, and the deletion of call logs and messages from Harini's phone led detectives to question her account.
Harini was interrogated for nearly six hours and reportedly confessed, while Vinay fled the scene and was later apprehended. Authorities noted the family had been experiencing frequent quarrels and that Abhinandan owned assets worth crores, including a three-storey building, which may have been a motive. Post-mortem examinations are pending to confirm the exact causes of death.
