Bentley unveils the Torcal electric SUV, targeting the high-end market

Bentley has revealed its first fully electric model, the Torcal SUV, priced from $218,000 and boasting up to 375 miles of WLTP range.

Bentley introduced the Torcal, its first fully electric vehicle, expanding the marque's four-model portfolio that already includes the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga. The SUV is offered in a core version with 821 PS and a sportier S trim delivering 888 PS, both capable of accelerating to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and reaching top speeds above 150 mph. Its WLTP range reaches up to 375 miles, and a 400 kW charger can refill the battery from 10 % to 80 % in roughly 16 minutes.

Priced at $218,000 for the base model and $258,200 for the First Edition S, the Torcal aims at the ultra-luxury segment, positioning itself against the Range Rover Electric while highlighting Bentley's craftsmanship, unique interior materials and bespoke sound system. The vehicle incorporates features such as an illuminated acrylic grille, augmented-reality head-up display, facial-recognition driver settings and extensive driver-assist sensors. Bentley frames the Torcal as a template for future models, leveraging its historic brand identity to attract affluent buyers amid a competitive electric-SUV market.
