Berry Street and Healthify combine forces to tap booming GLP-1 market

U.S. nutrition startup Berry Street has merged with India’s Healthify, creating a joint venture that will operate under both brands and target the growing demand for GLP-1-based weight-loss programs.

Berry Street announced a merger with Khosla Ventures-backed Indian startup Healthify to capitalize on the rising popularity of GLP-1 medications for weight loss. The deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, will see the combined entity operate under the Berry Street brand in the United States and under the Healthify name in other regions, including India. Founders Noah Kotlove and Tushar Vashisht will act as co-chief executives, merging Berry Street’s extensive clinic network of over 2,000 locations with Healthify’s AI-powered nutrition and fitness coaching app.

Healthify, which has raised more than $150 million and reports serving over 45 million customers, recently added GLP-1-supported programs in India and expanded into the U.S. market. Berry Street, having raised $50 million from investors such as Northzone, Sofina and FJ Labs, offers insurance-covered GLP-1 care and has partnered with major retailers like Amazon and Walmart. Vinod Khosla praised the alliance as a platform that could redefine metabolic care by pairing artificial intelligence with a nationwide clinical network.

Why it matters

The merger creates a large, cross-border platform that could reshape how weight-loss drugs and digital nutrition coaching are delivered.
