Bessemer Venture Partners announced the closing of two new funds totaling $5.75 billion to back AI startups, allocating $1.75 billion to seed and early-stage deals and $4 billion to growth-stage companies.
Bessemer Venture Partners disclosed that it has secured $5.75 billion across two fresh funds aimed at accelerating investments throughout the AI ecosystem. The firm earmarked $1.75 billion for seed and early-stage ventures and $4 billion for later-stage growth companies. Since 2022, Bessemer’s portfolio has expanded to over 260 AI-native startups, with cumulative AI-related spending of $3 billion covering compute, infrastructure, foundation models, developer tools, application layers and agentic technologies.
Notable portfolio companies include Anthropic, Cognition, Legora, Perplexity, Ramp, Shopify and Waymo. Partner Byron Deeter said AI-native firms are scaling faster than any prior technology category the firm has backed and stressed the need for larger capital pools because companies are staying private longer, a structural shift in the market.
Why it matters
The new funds give Bessemer a massive war chest to fuel rapid AI growth, influencing startup financing and tech innovation trends.
