BFM justice analyst mulls joining protest amid growing nationwide unrest

Dominique Rizet, BFM justice analyst, said he might carry a sign with protesters, while a broad mobilization involving many groups is expected.

Dominique Rizet, a justice consultant for BFM, indicated he might stand with protesters, even carrying a placard, though he did not confirm his attendance. He stressed that journalists are also affected by the issues driving the demonstrations and lamented not having witnessed the suffering of other professions. Rizet, 67, highlighted his lifelong work starting at age 14 and warned against any reduction in his retirement benefits.

The rally, initially triggered by a TikTok appeal against rising fuel costs, has broadened to include high school students, university attendees, farmers, VTC drivers and remnants of the Yellow Vest movement. A source close to the interior ministry reported about 250 actions slated nationwide and warned of potential disturbances, especially in large urban areas.
