Bhutanese traveler says Vande Bharat Sleeper still shines after six months
An Instagram influencer from Assam rode the Guwahati-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper six months after its launch and praised its cleanliness and comfort.
Six months after the Guwahati-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper entered service, traveler Anusha (known online as Annu Sia) returned to test the train's condition. Riding solo in First AC, she noted that the cabin remained spacious, modern and "actually spotless," contrary to her expectation of wear and tear. The onboard bathroom, equipped with a shower, also appeared clean, and the meals served tasted as good as on her initial journey.
The service, the country's first sleeper-type Vande Bharat, aims to cut the Howrah-Guwahati trip to about 14 hours and offers regional cuisine from Assam and Bengal. Anusha concluded that the premium train had maintained its standards and declared she would never travel on another train again.
Why it matters
The review shows that India's new high-speed sleeper service can sustain quality, influencing future rail travel expectations.
