Billionaire Kevin O'Leary Says He Still Shops at Walmart for Everyday Savings

Kevin O'Leary, a Canadian billionaire and Shark Tank investor, posted on Instagram that he still frequents Walmart for household items, emphasizing his habit of hunting bargains despite his wealth.

Kevin O'Leary, whose net worth is estimated at $400 million, posted an Instagram clip showing his routine visit to Walmart for basic supplies such as batteries, butter, paper towels and OxiClean. While there, he pointed out a $29 pair of black jeans and a bulk Bounty deal, noting that he “saves dough” by choosing the store’s specials. O'Leary, who owns homes in Florida, Massachusetts and Toronto, said his wife sent him on the errand but he couldn’t resist scouting for lower-priced options.

He reiterated that he dislikes wasting money and believes no one can assume today’s earnings will last tomorrow. The billionaire joined other rich figures—Warren Buffett, Ingvar Kamprad and Scale AI co-founder Lucy Guo—who maintain modest spending habits despite massive fortunes, suggesting that a bargain-hunter mindset often persists regardless of wealth.
