Biman Bangladesh Airlines places order for ten Airbus aircraft

Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed a purchase of ten Airbus jets, comprising four A350-900s and six A321neo models.

The Bangladeshi carrier announced a deal for ten new Airbus planes, adding four long-range A350-900s and six medium-range A321neo aircraft to its fleet. This follows a recent order of 11 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 737 MAX jets. Biman currently operates 19 aircraft, mainly Boeing models and Dash-8 turboprops, and serves just over 20% of the nation’s air passengers. The order was disclosed by Airbus in Paris on October 7.

Why it matters

The deal expands Biman's fleet diversity and signals growing demand for air travel in Bangladesh.
