Shivanna had reportedly replied to a newspaper that the issue did not merit prominence because of her wealth. Mazumdar-Shaw clarified she is voicing concerns of locals who cannot be heard, noting she rarely uses the roads herself but knows the stretch between Huskur and Sarjapur Road is impassable.
