BJP launches month-long Seva campaign to celebrate Modi's birthday and 25 years in office

Starting on September 17, the BJP’s month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will combine service projects, outreach events and youth programmes to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday and his quarter-century in public office. The opening day, designated Seva Diwas, will host nationwide blood-donation camps and a lamp-lighting initiative called ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya.’ Throughout the month, participants will be urged to complete 25 minutes of voluntary work across 25 themes, share beneficiary stories, and compete in school drawing and debate contests.

A major feature is a series of youth-led yatras linking Vadnagar in Gujarat with Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, accompanied by motorcycle rallies transporting river water for a ceremonial ‘jalabhishek’ at Kashi Vishwanath. October 7 will mark the anniversary of Modi’s rise to Gujarat chief minister, prompting rallies and the ‘Seva Jyoti’ programme, while the campaign will close on October 17 with the Jansevak Mahakumbh, gathering roughly 125,000 representatives from local sarpanches to MPs to discuss good governance and service.
