BJP unveils new national leadership roster, appointing Irani and Raje to senior posts
The Bharatiya Janata Party announced its fresh slate of national office-bearers, naming Smriti Irani as a general secretary for Uttar Pradesh and Vasundhara Raje Scindia as a vice president for Rajasthan.
The Bharatiya Janata Party disclosed its new team of national office-bearers on Monday, highlighting a mix of seasoned politicians and current ministers. Vasundhara Raje Scindia was assigned the post of national vice president responsible for Rajasthan, and Smriti Irani was designated national general secretary for Uttar Pradesh. The party listed thirteen national vice presidents, among them Tirath Singh Rawat, Manpreet Singh Badal, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda and D Purandeshwari, representing various states.
Union minister Piyush Goyal took on the role of national treasurer, while Rajesh Mangal from Rajasthan became national joint treasurer. Additional appointments include eight national general secretaries such as Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal and Biplab Kumar Deb, covering a broad geographic spread across India.
