Body of Envoy Air flight attendant found in Texas creek, roommate indicted for murder
A fisherman discovered the remains of Envoy Air flight attendant Rana Nofal Soluri in Brushy Creek, and her longtime roommate Dennis William Day was later indicted on a murder charge.
Rana Nofal Soluri, a 47-year-old Envoy Air flight attendant, disappeared in March 2025 after missing work and being unreachable. In June, an unidentified fisherman found a body in Brushy Creek under a bridge, which was later confirmed as Soluri through DNA analysis at the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification. Police had earlier identified her longtime roommate, 67-year-old Dennis William Day, as a suspect after coworkers reported they had lived together.
Surveillance footage from March 21 showed Day moving a lifeless body from their home to the backyard, and he allegedly admitted to strangling Soluri during an argument. He is accused of placing the body in a trash bin and dumping it from a bridge, as well as discarding her phone in a nearby river. Day has been indicted on a murder charge, and the case is moving toward trial.
