Body of Unnao Woman Found Near Lucknow Underpass, Police Discover Mysterious Note
A 25-year-old woman from Unnao was discovered dead near the Kisan Path underpass in Lucknow, prompting a murder probe after police recovered a handwritten note with four men’s names and a four-digit number.
Authorities in Lucknow recovered the body of 25-year-old Asiya, also known as Tina, near the Kisan Path underpass in the Dubagga district on Saturday night. A passerby alerted police at about 9:30 pm, and officers found a bag that confirmed her identity through Aadhaar and PAN cards. A handwritten note recovered from the bag named four men and displayed a four-digit number, which investigators are examining for relevance to the case.
Preliminary observations showed facial injuries suggesting strangulation, and the body appeared to have been placed there a few hours earlier. Nasreen Bano, the victim’s elder sister, lodged an FIR at Dubagga police station, alleging an unknown person killed her sister and concealed the crime. Police are analysing CCTV footage, tracing the victim’s movements after she left her sister’s home in Nawabganj, and probing any connection between the note and the murder.
