Boeing Wins $20 Billion US Navy Next-Gen Fighter Contract
The U.S. Department of Defense announced Boeing as the builder of the Navy’s future fighter, the F/A-XX, in a deal worth over $20 billion.
The Pentagon confirmed that Boeing will produce the new carrier-based fighter designated F/A-XX, slated to replace the F/A-18E Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler during the 2030s. The contract exceeds $20 billion and the aircraft will operate alongside the F-35C. Boeing previously secured a separate contract in March 2025 for the Air Force’s upcoming F-47 program.
