Boomi to acquire Israeli AI data-cleaning firm Elementary Data for over $40 million
Boomi, the Conshohocken-based integration platform, agreed to buy Israeli startup Elementary Data for more than $40 million, marking its third AI acquisition in two years.
Boomi announced it will purchase Elementary Data, an Israeli startup specializing in data observability and reliability, for a price exceeding $40 million. Founded in 2022 by former Israeli Defense Forces electronic-warfare experts Maayan Salom and Or Avidov, the 17-employee firm helps customers locate, rank, and repair data so AI agents can use it without producing hallucinations. The acquisition is Boomi’s third Israeli AI purchase in the past two years, following earlier buys of Lunar.dev and Riveri, the latter reportedly for $100 million.
Boomi, headquartered in Conshohocken with roughly 2,300 staff across the U.S., India, Canada and Israel, is owned by private-equity firms TPG and Francisco Partners. Steve Lucas, Boomi’s chairman and CEO, said trustworthy data is essential for the AI era, citing a Forrester Consulting study that found only about one-third of companies trust their AI outputs. Elementary’s leadership will join Boomi, integrating its technology into the Boomi Enterprise Platform for its 30,000+ customers and 800+ partners.
Why it matters
The purchase strengthens Boomi’s ability to provide reliable data for AI, a critical need as businesses expand AI use.
