Boox unveils Palma 3 e-reader with stylus support and refreshed design
Boox announced the Palma 3, a revamped 6.13-inch e-reader that adds active stylus compatibility and runs Android 16, priced at $339.99.
Nearly two years after the Palma 2, Boox introduced the Palma 3, raising the price from $279.99 to $339.99. The handset retains the 6.13-inch, 300 ppi E Ink Carta screen but features a new anodized aluminum chassis and a paper-like fiberglass backplate for a premium feel. Internally it houses a Qualcomm Q-6690 octa-core processor, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, and a 3950 mAh battery.
Additional hardware includes a 16-megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. The device ships with Android 16, one generation behind the latest OS, and supports the Boox InkSense Plus active stylus, sold separately for $46, positioning the Palma 3 against higher-priced e-note competitors.
Why it matters
The Palma 3 adds stylus capability and a premium build, expanding options for digital note-taking on e-ink devices.
