Borussia Dortmund midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas hospitalized after collapsing in Champions League match
Konstantinos Karetsas left the field during Dortmund's Champions League game against Villarreal and was taken to a hospital for circulatory problems.
During the first half of the Champions League opener between Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal, midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas collapsed and could not continue. He was escorted to the dressing room and then transferred to a medical centre. The club said the incident was caused by circulatory issues and that further examinations will be carried out. A statement noted that Karetsas is stable and on his way to the hospital for additional tests.
