Bose launches second-generation QuietComfort headphones with upgraded sound and ANC
Bose unveiled the second-generation QuietComfort headphones, adding Immersive Audio, CustomTune, and a refined design while keeping the price at $359.
Bose’s latest QuietComfort headphones retain the classic aesthetic but incorporate a sliding headband, updated earcup shape, and improved ear pads for added comfort. The device now supports Immersive Audio, upscaling any media to spatial sound, and offers Cinema Mode for clearer dialogue without sacrificing soundstage. CustomTune calibrates audio and noise cancellation to the wearer’s ear profile, while ActiveSense enhances ANC response to sudden noises.
USB-C replaces the traditional 3.5 mm jack, though a converter cable is included for legacy connections, and the headphones can charge while in use. Priced at $359, the model matches the launch price of its predecessor and undercuts the $449 Ultra version, though its 24-hour battery life is unchanged.
