Bosnian clan members charged with human trafficking and money laundering over child theft scheme
Sixteen adults from a Bosnian clan are appearing before a Paris criminal court on charges of human trafficking, gang association and laundering money for forcing children to steal on public transport.
A group of sixteen men and women, aged between 20 and 46, linked to a Bosnian criminal network will face trial in Paris for alleged human trafficking, participation in a criminal gang and money-laundering offenses. Prosecutors say the suspects compelled their children to commit thefts on metros and other public transport between May 2022 and June 2025, operating in the Île-de-France region, Marseille and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The case involves roughly sixty alleged incidents and claims of laundering tens of thousands of euros.
