BritBox is set to release a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s characters Tommy and Tuppence, shifting them from their post-World War I roots to solve a modern murder mystery. The series, described by its creators as a hybrid of classic mystery and rom-com, will debut on September 15. Josh Dylan and Antonia Thomas have been chosen to portray the iconic couple, while Phoebe Eclair-Powell wrote and executive-produced the project.
Director Fergus O’Brien highlighted the blend of contemporary and traditional elements in the show. The production joins a long line of previous radio, television, and film versions of the pair. BritBox will host the series exclusively, offering a limited-time subscription deal for newcomers.
