British Airways and Iberia restart Tel Aviv flights after eight-month hiatus
British Airways and Iberia have begun daily nonstop flights to Tel Aviv again, ending an eight-month suspension caused by the Iran-related conflict.
The UK and Spanish flag carriers reinstated daily nonstop services from London and Madrid to Tel Aviv on Sunday, after halting flights for eight months due to regional hostilities with Iran. Their return coincides with a summer tourism rebound and the influx of Israelis abroad returning to vote in the upcoming general election. While most airlines have already resumed, American Airlines still does not fly there, and flights to Dubai remain suspended after a recent cockpit attack and security disputes.
Why it matters
