The next day, raids on properties in Finestrat and Elche seized more than 67 kg of cocaine, a kilogram of vacuum-packed cannabis, 4,000 euros in cash, luxury items, and weapons, as well as two additional vans equipped with similar compartments.
Authorities arrested two British nationals, who remain in custody while charges are prepared. The operation fits a recent series of Spanish crackdowns on networks that move cocaine to the UK using disguised vehicles. Officials suggest the Alicante haul may be only one segment of a larger trafficking route, and further arrests are not ruled out as the probe continues.
