British man detained after stabbing taxi driver multiple times in Seville

In the early hours of the morning, a British man boarded a taxi in Seville, initially requesting a trip to the Los Arcos shopping centre before directing the driver to an industrial estate. The driver grew suspicious, declined the request, and the passenger responded by stabbing him repeatedly, inflicting at least 16 wounds to the hands, arms, neck and shoulder blade. Despite severe injuries, the driver drove the cab to the police station, where a local officer provided first aid until emergency responders arrived.

Police recovered the broken knife, locating the handle inside the vehicle and the blade elsewhere, and arrested the suspect, who had blood on his clothing and resisted arrest. The National Police have taken charge of the case, and the man is expected to be charged with attempted murder and appear before a judge for bail or remand decisions.
