British pub manager killed in stabbing at German train station

Rebecca Bullock, 31, who ran the White Swan pub in Whitchurch, Buckinghamshire, was stabbed at Rosenheim railway station in Germany shortly before 01:00 local time on Sunday and later died in hospital. Bavarian police arrested a 27-year-old German man who has no fixed address at the location and subsequently placed him in a psychiatric hospital on suspicion of murder. The White Swan posted a tribute to Bullock, describing her as beloved by staff and regulars, and temporarily shut its doors before reopening at 15:00, saying it honored what she would have wanted.

The British Foreign Office said it is supporting her family and is in contact with local authorities. Bullock had previously run the 2022 London Marathon for the Milton Keynes-based Spinal Injuries Association and was an active member of the Thame Runners club, which expressed deep sadness at her loss.
