Bronx man sentenced to two years for posting graphic cat photos online

David Mosley, 26, known online as Church of Ububal, was sentenced to two years in prison for posting graphic images of a cat lying in a pool of blood on Instagram on Oct. 16, 2025. Earlier that week he had posted a picture of the same cat alive. Police testing verified the blood as feline, and Mosley claimed he found the animal after it died.
He pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals on July 10, and Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark described the act as shocking and outraging the community. Bronx Supreme Court Justice Laurence Busching imposed a ten-year ban on Mosley owning any pets as part of the plea agreement.
