Brooklyn family’s driveway becomes viral TikTok target amid neighbor feud

A long-standing dispute between the Chen family and nearby residents in Bensonhurst has turned their driveway into a TikTok stunt, with strangers repeatedly parking and filming the family’s angry reactions.

The Chen household in Bensonhurst has been embroiled in a feud that escalated into a TikTok phenomenon, where motorists deliberately park in front of their driveway to provoke a reaction that is filmed and shared online. The family, led by 65-year-old Frank Chen, says they need constant access for his 94-year-old father, yet strangers ignore “no parking” signs and block the entrance, prompting Chen to shout profanities and threaten to drive forward.

After a neighbor posted a video that attracted nearly 7 million views, other drivers began replicating the stunt, with as many as ten vehicles arriving each day, some even revving engines at night. The Chens claim they have faced verbal abuse and racist remarks, which a neighbor called Snow captured on video, though Snow later acknowledged the slur was inappropriate. Complaints have been filed with 311 and the Department of Buildings, which plans inspections, while the NYPD has closed several harassment complaints filed by the Chens.
