Brooklyn woman kills boyfriend during alleged domestic assault
Jennifer Ayala stabbed her boyfriend Pedersin Pelissier to death in their East Flatbush apartment after he allegedly continued beating her.
Police say Ayala, 36, used a kitchen knife to wound Pelissier, also 36, in the chest when he would not stop striking her. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died about an hour later. Ayala told investigators she acted in self-defense, describing the act as a quick "poke" while he attacked. She was arrested, charged with first-degree manslaughter and illegal weapon possession, and released on her own recognizance after an arraignment.
