Brother fatally strikes elder sibling with hammer in Marang household
A 43-year-old man died after his younger brother hit him with a hammer during a domestic clash in Kampung Tasek, Marang.
In Kampung Tasek, Marang, a family dispute turned violent when the younger brother of Mohd Nasir Ismail struck him with a hammer, causing fatal head injuries. Nasir, the eldest of nine children, was 43 years old at the time of his death. Their mother, Hasnah Sulong, recounted hearing screams and finding her son covered in blood after calling her husband, Ismail Ibrahim, who was outside.
A sister, Rurazmiza, aged 36, sustained back injuries after being hit while attempting to break up the fight. The brother, who has a history of mental-health issues, is suspected of the attack. Marang police chief Supt Saari Mohamed confirmed the incident and is leading the investigation.
