BSF soldier arrested for allegedly killing his wife in Punjab
A Border Security Force jawan, Amarjit Singh, was arrested after his wife was found dead following his claim she fell from their roof.
Punjab authorities have arrested Amarjit Singh, a Border Security Force jawan residing in Shekhamatta village, on suspicion of murdering his wife, Rama. On the night of August 13-14, Rama's father, Ram Chand, received a call from Singh stating that his wife had fallen from the roof of their home and was taken to the Civil Hospital in Hajipur. When family members arrived at the hospital, they discovered Rama dead, her body showing several injury marks.
The FIR alleges that Singh assaulted and killed her. Hajipur Police Station lodged the case, and SHO Inspector Harprem Singh announced Singh's arrest and that the investigation is ongoing.
