BSH aims to make India one of its top five growth markets by year-end
BSH Home Appliances announced that India will be among its five fastest-growing markets this year, with a projected 55-60% sales surge during the festival season.
BSH Home Appliances expects India to finish the year among its top five global growth markets, aiming for a 55-60% increase in sales during the upcoming festival period. Managing director Saif Khan highlighted a shift to a full-stack portfolio that now includes entry-level refrigeration, cooking ranges, small appliances and built-in kitchen equipment, driving the recent 53% year-on-year jump. The firm plans a multichannel strategy, expanding exclusive Bosch stores from roughly 200 to about 500 by 2030 and strengthening ties with multibrand retailers, while online sales continue to rise sharply.
Distribution points have grown by 50-55% in eight months, reaching around 10,000 touchpoints, and the company is entering Tier-III cities with new store openings. Moderate price hikes of 4-7% have been applied, but further increases are on hold pending raw-material costs. BSH also intends to start local production of bottom-freezer refrigerators in Chennai from October and pursue higher localisation levels ahead of its 90% target for 2030.
