BTS 'Arirang' Tour Sparks Massive Fan Turnout Across South America
BTS kicked off their South American leg of the 'Arirang' tour with sold-out shows in Bogota and strong demand for upcoming concerts in Lima and Sao Paulo.
BTS launched the South American segment of their 'Arirang' world tour with back-to-back concerts in Bogota, Colombia, on October 2 and 3, featuring standout moments from members V and Jimin. Fan enthusiasm quickly spread to Peru, where 521,000 people attempted to purchase tickets for three Lima performances scheduled for early October, and to Brazil, where 630,000 joined the Ticketmaster Brasil presale for four shows in Sao Paulo later in the month.
The Lima concerts are expected to attract between 96,000 and 156,000 fans in total, while each Sao Paulo show can hold roughly 67,000 to 72,000 attendees. City officials estimate the events will generate significant economic activity and create over 5,200 direct and indirect jobs. Additional stops are planned for Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, before the tour concludes at the end of October. The group's latest album, 'Arirang,' continues to rank high on global streaming charts, fueling the tour’s popularity.
