Bucharest Court lifts seizure on Nordis apartments in Mamaia

The Bucharest Court of Appeal ordered the removal of the asset freeze on Nordis Management and Nordis Mamaia properties in Mamaia, while keeping the seizure on Vladimir Ciorbă's assets.

On a recent session, the Bucharest Court of Appeal issued a final judgment overturning the protective seizure imposed on the Nordis Management and Nordis Mamaia companies' apartments in the resort town of Mamaia. The court granted the companies' appeals against a July 21, 2026 prosecutor's order that had kept the seizure in effect. As a result, the asset freeze on the Nordis properties was lifted.

The court, however, dismissed the appeal submitted by Vladimir Ciorbă, maintaining the seizure on his family's holdings and ordering him to pay a court cost of 300 lei. The decision references procedural codes governing criminal procedure and was recorded in the case file number 1854/D/P/2022.

Why it matters

The ruling changes the financial status of major real-estate assets in a popular resort, affecting investors and ongoing investigations.
