A main pipe burst in a field near Horley, identified by SES Water, has left sections of Gatwick Airport without running water. The outage impacts water supply in both terminals, forcing the closure of toilets in the North Terminal while most facilities in the South Terminal stay open. Airline operations are unaffected, and flights proceed as scheduled.
Travelers such as Natasha Nzekwe and Naduni Abeywickrama voiced irritation over the inability to wash hands and repeated inconvenience. Food outlets in the North Terminal continue serving passengers but only offer seating. Anthony Rochester, head of networks at SES Water, said repair teams are on site and aim to restore service swiftly.
