A regional bus near Aidlingen left the road and was torn in two, leaving the driver and three passengers, including a child, with minor injuries.
Police reported that at approximately 17:20 a bus traveling on the K1066 road from Aidlingen to Darmsheim began to wobble, left the carriageway and collided with bushes, causing the vehicle to break in half at its articulation joint. The 50-year-old driver and two passengers aged 26 and 27 were hospitalized with minor injuries, as was a 12-year-old girl who received outpatient care; an 11-year-old child on board escaped injury.
The accident forced a full closure of the road until at least later that night, after which the bus was towed away. In a separate incident in Bremen, an 18-year-old seized a regional bus, diverted it from its route and was later located by police; no one was hurt in that case.
