Busch says Christian Democrats feel momentum ahead of upcoming election

During the Christian Democrats’ election-night event at Fotografiska in Stockholm, supporters enjoyed specially named beverages as the mood stayed upbeat. Peter Kullgren, the minister for rural affairs, pointed to a rising “blue-yellow” trend that could keep the coalition in power. Ebba Busch arrived just before 19:00 and, while not yet nervous, warned she would feel pressure minutes before the eight-o’clock SVT poll-night show.

She claimed the party now feels a tailwind and that a fourth term alongside the Tidö parties is attainable if the vote matches or surpasses last election’s results. Busch also accused the Moderates and Sweden Democrats of launching smear attacks, but said she remains focused on strengthening the coalition’s overall mandate.
