In the closing minutes of Thursday's matchup with the Dallas Wings, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark sank a 26-foot three-pointer, bringing her career total to 1,700 points in only her 86th game. This feat ties her with a handful of elite scorers who have reached the mark in 86 games or fewer, while also making her the fastest player ever to accumulate at least 1,700 points, 400 rebounds and 700 assists—a record previously held by Sabrina Ionescu.
Clark entered the game with 1,690 points, 415 rebounds and 716 assists, and the shot also narrowed the score to 70-64. Although her milestone could not prevent a 91-85 loss to Dallas, it underscored her combined scoring, playmaking and rebounding impact early in her career.
