He argued that the league’s expanded testing and distancing protocols served as a propaganda tool for drug companies rather than a genuine health measure. Newton further dismissed the notion that every NFL figure is vaccinated or shares the same political affiliation, noting that some support President Trump.
He claimed that any player who tries to discuss real issues is silenced by the league. The NFL and the New England Patriots declined to comment on his statements.
