Competing in Santo Domingo, the Canadian women's volleyball team captured the NORCECA Continental Qualifier title by defeating the Dominican Republic 3-1, securing qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The match scores were 25-15, 20-25, 25-23, and 25-14, with Kiera Van Ryk and Alexa Gray each tallying 22 points. Canada dominated in attack points and blocks, outpacing their opponents 56-40 and 8-7 respectively.
Earlier in the tournament, Canada opened with a 3-0 sweep of Puerto Rico and later won the NORCECA women's continental championship by going 5-0. Cuba claimed third place after a straight-sets win over Puerto Rico. The team's Olympic appearance marks the first since the 1996 Atlanta Games, where they finished tied for ninth.
