Cape Verde declares two‑day mourning after bus crash on Fogo island kills 25
A passenger bus carrying schoolchildren plunged about 30 metres near Campanas de Cima on Fogo island, resulting in 25 deaths, including the driver, and numerous injuries. Fourteen survivors were taken to the Hospital Regional, with three listed in a very critical state.
