Captain George Williams aims to cap career with Grand Final win for Warrington

Warrington Wolves will contest the Super League Grand Final against Wakefield Trinity at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 3, with the match broadcast live on one outlet. Captain George Williams, who joined the Wolves in 2021 after a stint in the NRL, is determined to leave the club with a trophy before heading back to Australia. The Wolves finished third in the regular season, while Wakefield, the fourth-placed side, secured their place by shocking Wigan 33-6.

Williams acknowledges Wakefield’s strong attacking play and notes that the two teams already met earlier in the year, with Wakefield emerging victorious. A win would mark only the sixth time a club has claimed the Super League crown, and Williams hopes it will rewrite the Wolves’ history.
