Car sinks into hole after water main burst on Canning Vale road

Around 4 a.m., a driver entered floodwater on The Bridgeway in Canning Vale after a water main ruptured, causing the vehicle to fall into a large sinkhole. The Water Corporation arrived within half an hour, isolated the broken pipe and began repairs. About ten households are experiencing reduced or discoloured water, and traffic has been diverted while crews work to extract the car and fix the main.
