Carlsberg India readies $700 million IPO, roadshow set for December
Carlsberg India plans to file its IPO paperwork this week, targeting up to $700 million from a secondary share sale.
Carlsberg A/S is set to submit formal IPO documents for its Indian subsidiary within days, aiming to raise as much as $700 million. Carlsberg India, which holds about a 22% market share and operates seven breweries, will start a roadshow next week with a possible December launch. The transaction will be a pure secondary sale by the parent company, with Kotak Mahindra Capital Co., JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Indian arm, and Citigroup Inc.’s Indian unit advising the process.
Draft filings were already filed confidentially in July, and the final structure may still be adjusted. A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to comment requests. The move comes as India’s IPO market regains momentum after a quiet first half of 2026.
Why it matters
The offering could inject significant capital into India’s beer market and signal renewed confidence in the country’s IPO environment.
