Cartel hitman claims to have burned 250 victims at Jalisco ranch
A masked assassin for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel says he incinerated 250 people at Rancho Izaguirre and has been feeding tips to volunteer searchers.
In an interview broadcast by RAI, a concealed cartel assassin said he was paid roughly $220 weekly to execute victims for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and that he personally incinerated 250 bodies at Rancho Izaguirre, a remote property in Teuchitlán, Jalisco. He has spent the past 18 months providing information to the volunteer network Jalisco Search Warriors, leading them to further locations with burned human fragments, including a site in Ahualulco de Mercado where over 1,000 fragments were reported.
The ranch was first uncovered by the National Guard in September 2024, resulting in the arrest of ten cartel members and the rescue of two kidnapping victims. The Jalisco prosecutor’s office initially downplayed the find, but the federal Attorney General’s Office later sentenced the arrested members to 141 years each. This week the FGR dismissed the hitman's televised confession as false, though the volunteer group disputes that assessment, citing ongoing discoveries of charred remains.
Why it matters
The claims highlight ongoing violence by Mexico's powerful cartels and raise questions about the accuracy of official investigations.
