CATL launches Europe’s largest EV battery service hub in Norway

CATL, the world’s leading battery producer, inaugurated an 8,000-plus-square-metre service centre in Skedsmokorset, Norway, marking the largest European site for electric-vehicle battery support. Operated under the Ning Service brand, the centre offers comprehensive diagnostics, targeted repairs and recycling, positioning itself as a Nordic hub for battery maintenance. Instead of replacing entire battery packs, the facility uses sophisticated tools to pinpoint and fix specific faults, potentially lowering post-warranty costs.

Over 25 CATL-certified senior engineers work there, and the site will cater to private cars as well as commercial fleets, including buses, heavy trucks and electric vessels. Dedicated zones handle customer guidance, battery inspection, parts storage and technician training. The move reflects Norway’s mature EV market, where focus is shifting from sales and charging infrastructure to long-term battery upkeep and sustainable material recovery.
