CCTV Shows Newlywed Collapse in Jhansi Hotel; Husband Detained Amid Murder Claim
Muskan Simolia fell seconds after entering a Jhansi hotel room with husband Nilesh and an employee, died the next day, and her father accuses Nilesh of murder, leading to his detention and a pending post-mortem.
CCTV from a Jhansi hotel recorded 28-year-old Muskan Simolia entering a room with her husband Nilesh and another employee, then falling backward near the doorway within five seconds. Nilesh lifted her and brought her inside, after which hotel staff escorted her to the district hospital where she was pronounced dead the next day. Her father, Ramji Lal Ahirwar, claims the collapse resulted from an assault, citing head injuries and accusing Nilesh of hiding an earlier marriage in Indore.
Police have detained Nilesh for questioning, inspected the premises, and are awaiting the post-mortem report to clarify the cause of death. SP City Preeti Singh confirmed the investigation remains ongoing, noting that the footage alone does not establish whether foul play occurred.
