CD Projekt Red confirmed that a remastered edition of its 2015 RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will debut on September 29. The Witcher 3 - Remastered will feature visual enhancements, a reimagined skill system and refined combat, and will bundle the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. Owners of the original game on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will obtain the upgrade for free, and the title will also launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. This release follows a next-gen upgrade issued in 2022 and marks the start of a broader franchise push, with a new expansion titled Songs of the Past planned for 2027 and the next mainline entry, The Witcher 4, slated for 2028.
Why it matters
The free remaster refreshes a beloved game for modern platforms and signals CD Projekt Red's ongoing investment in the Witcher franchise.
