Cerebras to power Gimlet Labs' AI cloud service with high-capacity chips

Cerebras Systems announced a partnership to supply its CS-4 AI processors, which consume roughly 100 megawatts, to the cloud-computing startup Gimlet Labs. The deal, revealed on Monday, aims to enable Gimlet to offer high-speed inference for cutting-edge AI models, a capability valued by sectors such as cybersecurity, voice applications and financial analysis, according to Gimlet chief executive Zain Asgar. Cerebras will deliver the hardware over the next one to two years, with Gimlet targeting a 2027 rollout in its cloud platform.

Andrew Feldman, Cerebras' CEO, said the arrangement demonstrates how easily the chips can be integrated into heterogeneous environments. While the financial details remain private, Gimlet will be responsible for operating and maintaining the systems once installed. The move follows Cerebras' earlier supply deal with OpenAI and mirrors Nvidia's recent licensing partnership with Groq.
