Charity Table Event Raises Funds for Romania's First Pediatric Psychiatry Hospital

The Masa Care Unește gathering in Bucharest attracted thousands, breaking a Guinness World Record and generating donations for a new pediatric psychiatry hospital.

Masa Care Unește, staged in Bucharest by Bloom The World, assembled a record-breaking table constructed from recyclable supplies, surpassing the previous Guinness World Record. The gathering drew a massive crowd and prompted many attendees to commit to monthly donations for the first pediatric psychiatry hospital in Romania, a project overseen by Fundația Metropolis. The effort was backed by more than fifty partners from the private and public sectors, including companies such as MAGGI, SafeSteel and SafeWood.

International outlets across Europe, America and Asia reported on the event. Additional charitable actions included free participation for vulnerable groups and food-waste redistribution by a local food bank. Organisers plan future events targeting Romanian diaspora communities.

Why it matters
